University of North Carolina Wilmington – Academics. UNCW is organized into the College of Arts and Sciences, the Cameron School of Business, the School of Nursing, the Watson School of Education, and the Graduate School. With 73 undergraduate degree programs and 28 graduate degrees, UNCW offers a diversity of academic programs. The College of Arts and Sciences features excellent liberal arts programs leading to the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts in creative writing, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Social Work, Master of Arts, Master of Fine Arts in creative writing, Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in marine science degrees.

Nationally Recognized Programs at UNC Wilmington.
UNCW’s nationally recognized Center for Marine Science at Myrtle Grove Sound offers a Ph.D. in marine biology, one of only three degrees available on the East Coast. The film studies program benefits from the university's proximity to EUE Screen Gems studio, the backdrop for movies and TV shows including Dawson's Creek. The Cameron School of Business is in the top one-third of business programs in the country, and the Watson School of Education is one of three UNC institutions producing 300 teachers for schools in North Carolina. The UNCW Seahawks field 19 varsity athletic teams for men and women, and UNCW athletes post one of the highest GPAs in the UNC system.
